Hi, I’m Ana 😊
I am an Australian Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrant. Add that title to my name, and whoa! What a mouthful! It ends up being longer than pronouncing the alphabet! LOL.
I was born in the Philippines and moved to Australia 41 years ago with my mum when I was just 14 years old. My main spoken language is English, but I still speak and understand Filipino (the Philippines' national language). I wear many hats: portrait artist, mother to two fur children (a dog and a cat), Australian public servant for 24 years (and still counting), believer in the ‘Law of Attraction’, and someone who lives by the principle of treating others how I want to be treated. Now, I’m a “young” Celebrant in a middle-aged body ☹.
Why did I become a Celebrant?
Fourteen years ago, my wedding celebrant asked if I had ever thought about becoming one because she felt I had the qualities and abilities you would want in a celebrant. Then, three years ago, I was searching for something that would make me happy and give me that feeling of rightness, similar to what I feel when I paint. That feeling of doing what I am meant to be doing and being where I am meant to be. I signed up for a Certificate IV in Celebrancy, successfully completed it, applied to the Attorney General’s Department, and voila! Here I am, looking forward to guiding, collaborating, and helping you create memorable and heartfelt moments celebrating your time, your moment, and your life.
