Hi, I’m Ana 😊
I am an Australian Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrant. Add that title to my name, and whoa! What a mouthful! It ends up being longer than pronouncing the alphabet! LOL.
I was made and born in the Philippines and moved over to Australia 39 years ago with my mum when I was just 14 years old. My main spoken language is English, but I still speak and understand Filipino (Philippines' national language). I am many things: portrait artist, mother to two fur children (a dog and a cat), Australian public servant for 22 years (and still counting), believe in ‘Law of Attraction’, live my life strictly based on treating others how I want to be treated, and now a “young” Celebrant in a middle-aged body ☹.
Why did I become a Celebrant?
Twelve years ago, my wedding celebrant asked me if I had ever thought about becoming one because she felt I had the qualities and abilities you would want in a celebrant. Then, two years ago, I was looking for something that would make me happy and give me the feeling of rightness, similar to what I feel when I paint. That feeling of doing what I am meant to be doing and being where I am meant to be. I signed up to do a Certificate IV in Celebrancy, successfully completed my Certificate IV, applied to the Attorney General’s Department, and voila! Here, I am looking forward to guiding, collaborating, and helping you create memorable and heartfelt moments celebrating your time, your moment, and your life.
